So hello there. Haven’t updated this profile in a bit—looks like about a year ago. Seems like time.
I’m Rafi. I am queer as fuck, in several different dimensions of queerness. More specifically I am AFAB nonbinary, I’m bi, and I am, in my heart, polyamorous. That’s a long story (though I’d be happy to tell you), and it’s unlikely that I’ll ever really act on it. But I have the feelings. P.s. I am married to a trans lesbian.
I may also be somewhere on the ace spectrum, but that is also a long story. (Again, would be happy to tell you, if you ask nicely.)
Important people in my life:
J = my wife
YS = Younger Sister
OS = Older Sister
Various niblings (ahem. Gender-free word for your siblings’ offspring. In case you didn’t know)
I am also disabled—again, in a few different dimensions. And I have several other chronic health conditions. To sum up: I’m autistic, I have bipolar disorder, I have fibromyalgia, I have sleep apnea (yay CPAP machine), uh, what else? There’s more but I swear I can’t always remember what they all are… 😉
I have pretty much quit working. For a long time I was working while disabled, which you can do if you’re very careful about your earnings. But I just can’t do it anymore. Yeah, that’s yet another long story!
I read a lot. Also I write. A lot. Fanfic, sci-fi, memoir, contemporary queer fic. So many different kinds of writing and so many different stories and novels in my head that it can be hard to decide what to work on at any given moment!
Finally, I’m a pagan. Please ask if you want more info! It’s not a secret, but it is private. But I’m willing to talk to people I know and feel like I can trust.
